A professional who obtains and grinds samples of tobacco leaves used in making moisture tests. Respnsibilities include:

• Pulls leaves from hands of tobacco at discharge end of redrying machine or extracts sample of tobacco strips (stems removed) from hogsheads or shipping cartons, using electric auger.
• Feeds sample into grinder.
• Pours ground tobacco into container, places container in tumbler, starts tumbler to mix ground sample, and labels container showing date, machine, hogshead number, grade, and time collected.
• May only extract and label samples for grinding and be designated Sample Driller.
