A professional who removes excess paint from metal stampings to bring out etched or embossed pattern or lettering, by rubbing surface of pattern with cloth and solvent. Responsibilities include:

  • Separates stampings that are scratched or marred, or that have been imperfectly finished.
  • May apply paint to unpainted areas of stampings overlooked during painting process, using brush.
  • May remove masking compound from specified areas of metal parts to be chemically etched, using template outline and knife.
