A professional who tends machine equipped with air-jet chambers through which continuous filament yarn is processed to change texture and increase bulk of yarn. Responsibilities include:

• Creels machine and threads yarn ends through machine guides, over feed rollers, air-jet chambers, tension guides, and drop wires. Loops end of yarn around takeup spool.
• Turns valve to start compressed air through jets to blow loops into yarn filaments, changing physical structure of yarn.
• Observes processing of yarn to detect breaks in yarn and filled takeup spools.
• Ties broken yarn ends.
• Pulls lever to stop spindle and doffs full package.
• Important variables may be indicated by trade name of texturing process or machine used.
