"Rumah Gadang"
"Rumah Gadang" or "Rumah Godang" is the name given to the traditional Minangkabau house. Many such houses are found in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The local community also calls this traditional house "Rumah Bagonjong". The specific architectural character of this house features a roof shaped like the horns of a bull. The roof of the house is usually made of "ijuk", which is the fibre obtained from the bark of the sugar-palm tree, although many now use zinc roofs instead.
