This is the traditional house of the province of Central Java. The basis of its philosophy and architecture are similar to the traditional houses found in East Java and in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. The house has a simple structure and serves to signify the social status of the Javanese nobility. The roof of the house has its own specific feature, in that it is made in the shape of a mountain.
