"Gapura Candi Bentar" represents the official traditional house of Bali province. This traditional house is classified as one of the most unique in Indonesia. Inside the "Gapura Candi Bentar" and inside other Balinese traditional houses, one can observe how the harmonious union of spiritual, traditional and aesthetic values present a valuable cultural charm. Istilah "Gapura Candi Bentar" sendiri sejatinya merujuk pada bangunan gapura yang menjadi gerbang pada rumah-rumah tradisional Bali. The gateway itself consists of two shrines of identical shape and size, yet constituting a mirror image, which delineates the left and right sides of the entrance to the grounds of the house. This gateway is not joined by a roof at its top, such that both sides are abolutely separated, and is only joined on the inside by steps which become the entrance.
